Kelp tablets

    Hey a friend of mine wants to grow her hair long and wants it to grow faster than normal and she heard somewhere that kelp tablets help speed up the process . Has anyone ever heard of this before ? Any one had any experiance with it?

    seemingly kelp is an excellent source of iodine which is used by the thyroid gland in the production of hormones which stimulate metabolism. i've never heard of the hair growth thing, but i suppose its possible. i know some people have used kelp as a weight loss aid due to the effects it has on metabolism.

    hmm i dont know if thats a good idea or not then . i guess it is only like a herbal thing so i guess it cant cause any negative effects could it

    Unless you are iodine deficient, taking a source of iodine in the diet will have no effect on thyroid function and metabolism as levels of thyoid hormone are already strictly controlled.
