Has anyone recieved their Leinster season tickets yet? The first match is next Saturday and still no sign of the tickets

It's bad enough that they are giving books of tickets instead of smartcards but to leave it until less than a week before the season starts to send out the tickets is seriously taking the p***.

The service charge that was paid to Ticketmaster for the tickets should be enough to ensure that the tickets were posted within Ireland and not through one of those cheap overseas bulk mail outfits which usually take ages to get here.

Perhaps somebody should go down to the Leinster Branch office and explain to them that they are supposed to be a professional outfit and not some group of amateurs running it in their spare time.

I also heard that the membership card and poster have to be collected from the office as they weren't ready in time for posting (e-mail went out around 2 weeks ago)

Tickets were sent last week, you should have them Monday, I'm waiting as well.

Did you get the email update ?

A book of tickets makes more sense for sharing imo, and is used successfully at other clubs.

Who have they signed this season, any props?
One of the Scottish props, might have been Ross Ford was going free after the collapse of Edinburgh would have been ideal for them/ye.

Springbok Ollie Le Reux - http://www.leinsterrugby.ie/members/index.asp?locID=37&docID=1786

    Puma Juan Gomez - http://www.leinsterrugby.ie/members/index.asp?locID=37&docID=1787

Other notable signings such as Shane Jennings and Leo Cullen

Gomez looks a good signing, the chippers around Donnybrook will delighted with Ollie le Reux

The tickets should have been out well before now.

Last time I ordered rugby tickets from Ticketmaster I got them more than 2 weeks before the match (England v France at Twickenham in August)

The membership cards should also have been sent out with the tickets as it is inconvinient to goto the offices in Donnybrook during office hours

The email last week said they were being sent last week and should arrive before the end of it.

I'd say wait until tomorrow, and if you don't have them, contact the Branch

Are you receiving emails and texts from Leinster Rugby ?

Yes, I get all the e-mails

Still doesn't excuse the fact that the tickets are so late

in theory we will get the tickets before the magners league starts. The last three seasons the season tickets have not arrived till two or three games into the season.
    THIS IS AN IMPROVEMENT

Are they sticking with the booklets? I hope so - the smart cards seemed silly. Lots of the time if myself or some of my friends couldn't go we would give the spare tickets away outside the match. With smart cards you can't do this. Even lending the smart cars to friends is more of a hassle cause then you have to get it back, make sure they don''t lose it etc.

No its back to smart cards this year. Leinster Branch are discussing with TM the possibility of ticket exchange...

I never understand the stress about when we will get the season tickets year in and year out..

The branch are not going to run away to brazil with your money ffs and the tickets will be in your gaff in good time..

    relax :)

That hasn't always been the case, if i remember correctly there was one year when they hadn't actually sent out all the tickets by the time the season had started so some people had to get temp tickets for the first game.

and another fecking stupid scarf to add to the collection. I was looking forward to getting a replacement hat this year

Im chuffed with my car sticker!! :D

Have to say i prefer the card...throw it in the wallet and you'll always have it and don't have to remember to bring your ticket!! (the amount of times I've been half way up my street and suddenly remembered!! :p)

Got one yesterday as a totally unexpected 30th birthday present - nice.

Should be awesome, already looking at the Sept 3rd date with anticipation.

Any seasoned season ticket holders able to fill me in on the international match draw and how it works. - What's the success rate like?

I got tickets to the France game last season, the success rate is pretty low to be fair but it's a chance. Obviously you have to pay for the tickets. Basically they send out an email saying they have tickets and you mail them back saying you want to enter the draw.

    Arrived yesterday. Score.

As this is the first time I've been able to afford a season ticket to anything, can someone fill me in on how it works? Do I just turn up to the RDS with my season ticket card yoke, and get let in or what?

Or do I have to print out tickets beforehand from ticketmaster using my ID or what?

Just turn up with the card. Assume they will scan the barcode on entry or something...

Really, much prefer last years. As someone said on LFs, this years one looks like a Leeds Utd scarf from 1992! Not a fan of the huge season ticket holders lettering either.
