    Hi,
I have a macbook, its running OS X version 10.4.10, has the 2Ghz Intel core duo. My problems are
    1. The screensaver I opted to put up a few months back refuses to change, when I go to preferencs and elect a photo say from iphoto, or one of the stock images they stay up for a while but once I switch it off or even close the preferences window it reverts to this image from a few months back, its really bugging me! Aby ideas?

    2. Whe starting up the twirling spectrum appears for quite a while, epsecially if i had a few windows open when i closed it last, i usually have to force quit safari ti get going again as it just seems to freeze, it wasn't always this slow, i have very litle actually used on the memory side of things.

Just to clarify, is it the desktop wallpaper you're trying to change or the screen-saver that kicks in after a period of inactivity ?

For your second problem, close all apps and reboot. Do you still get the problem occurring ? Try fixing permissions in ~/Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility and reboot.

Hi sorry about the delay replying, anyway it's the actual desktop wallpaper, not the one that pops up after a while to save the screen.
I will try the rebooting now so and I'll get back to you...Thanks for the advice
