Just wondered what you thought of the price of this PC, compared to Dell current offers? £199.99 is about €289

(pcworld.ie site doesn't appear to be working at the moment)

    http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/product/seo/276055
    # AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3800+
    # 512MB RAM Memory
    # Genuine Windows Vista (R) Home Premium
    # 160GB Hard Drive
    # Dual Layer DVD Re-Writer Drive
    # NVIDIA GeForce 6150 Graphics
    # 15-in-1 Media Card Reader
    # 6 USB Connections
    # 3 PCI Slots

Of course the RAM would need upgrading, if it's possible to do so.

To quote them "THIS IS A REFURBISHED PRODUCT AND COMES WITH A FULL 12 MONTHS WARRANTY"
Looks alright for the money, still...dont know if its available in Ireland.

I bought a brand new laptop from PC world, the MB broke after a few weeks and trying to get it fixed was a nightmare. I took it back and the manager tried to accuse me of wanting a brand new laptop.
I would never buy anything from them, not worth the grief if anything goes wrong. I should have run when the salesman tried to bully me into buying extra insurance.

pc world website hasn't worked in months.

If you pick the Intel Celeron 2.8ghz for €219 in the Intel Offers section you can configure it to the below for €298

They dont have an os so suppose not that great a deal in the end.....The pc world deal is good but for an extra €100 you can get a Core 2 Duo,2 gigs of ram and a 250 gig hard drive from Dell, who cant be beaten these days for quality cheap pc's....I think its worth it as 512mb of ram will cost you at least €25 and you want 2gig and dual core for Vista

From my personal experience, some PC World staffs are rude and the only thing they care about is selling you insurance.

PC World Ireland doesn't even have a website which is a joke. The old site wasn't good either.

Shipping is free and service is very good.....

My cousin bought the "Mega Gaming pc" off them two weeks ago and its a beast, runs very cool and oozes class.....I bought 2 Vostro's cheap like a month ago to use as a gaming pc and media centre and there when you put in a decent video card, but it gets blown away by my cousins pc.....And for €200 more I think its worth it...
