    :o

Ok ... After people's photography I have decided to upgrade my Pixma ip8500 to something which is capable of doing A3 or A3+ ...

After being seriously screwed around by Canon and still (coming up to 5 weeks!!) waiting for a replacement or repaired unit for my 1d Mk III ... I've decided to buy as little as possible Canon gear from now onwards ... in fact if I could sell all my lenses I'd probably switch to Nikon D3x ... anyways, rant over, back on subject ...

I'd also like to investigate if there is an A3 printer than can go longer than typical A3 length ... for panoramics ...

Valentia and DarrenG recommended the Epsom R2400 ... does this do longer than A3 ? Can it take a roll of paper ?

What are the rest of you using ?

Anyone got any good review sites ? (Yes I know how to google it ... but there is an aweful lot of dross out there) ...

Do NOT get the 2400, go for the 3800 as the cost of ownership especially in ink will be much much quicker. Trust me, its worth it in the end.

Oh and before the boys start giving it large, I am not saying the 2400 isnt a good printer but value for money is what its all about. Keeping in mind the ink for these beasts aint cheap either!!

Off on my holidays now - see ya in two weeks!!

Simon, I was recommending the R1800 which is what I have. The only thing I really don't like at the moment is how thirsty is gets. Prints are top quality though and it's pretty fast.

It will take rolls for panoramic prints. I'm going to order a roll this week from 7dayshop and give it a go.

I've the Canon i9950 (A3+) 8 colour printer - can't fault it. (well, not apart from the fact that they don't supply any rip software)
I hear what you're saying about Canon aftersales service though.
