Tourney Hand from scalps

about 23 left, average stack around 15k.

I've 33k, decent well known fitz cash game player has 36k, between us we are both playing well and have dominated a weak enough table snapping off raises all night. We've tangled 4 or 5 times with 3/4 bets without ever actually getting to showdown. We both know each others games pretty well.

Blinds 300/600 seven handed, I make it 2200 to go in mp with AQ off. All flood except villian flat calls after a think from the SB.

Flop AK7 (2 clubs 1 heart), villian bets 3500 immediately after the cards are turned up, and I mean immediately. I'm very sure I'm ahead and call. Mistake just calling?

Turn comes 4 hearts, again he instantly throws out 6500. I call, should I be shoving here?

River is ten diamonds, again he fires a bunch of chips, 9.5k, I think and think but can't really put him on a hand, My thinking is he's trying to get rid of me since the hand started and we have been both playing hyper agressive for past few hours.

Whats my move? I have about 21k left.

Comments on flop and turn particulary wanted, I got a bit lost in the hand i think.

    thanks.

The flop call looks fine, and I think I'd be getting it in on the turn. The board is drawy enough, and the pot has gotten big enough (compared to stack sizes) that you might as well protect your equity in it.

I don't know about the river, but I think I find a call going by your reads or whatever. I'd have to be there, though. The fact that he's played three streets hard is worrying, but you have AQ which means that you cut down the hands he beats you with by a lot. You've been playing with him a while, how often do you think he shows up with a bluff here?

Well one of his possible drawing hands got there JcQc and two didn't TcJc and TcQc. He's hardly firing 3 times with no hand no draw - but you never know lol. But you're getting like 3.6-1 on the river so you only need to be good less than one in four. Your hand is a bluffcatcher now so if you think he's bluffing more than one in four you should call.
I would expect him to have a set of 7s here a bit though maybe

well the result was I horribly, horribly, horribly pushed the river. Obviously a sick move as only time he calls is when I'm beaten which I was, he turned over QJ for the nuts which hit on the river.

Very poor that I didnt shove over him at the turn as I knew I was ahead at that point.

    Ah well another lesson learned.

    Thanks for the feedback.

I agree with Lloyd about the PF raise.

I like the way it was played apart from the river shove which as you said is horrible. I often call the turn against a hyper aggro villain if i think he'll fire the river with air.

its fairly obv that you have an A min, he's a decent player and he fires a third big barrel otr? i'd find that very hard to call.

raise less pf, reraise the flop if you think you are good, i don't see why you decided to get tricky with the best player at the table?

pushing the river is crazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzyyy, but we all have brainfarts now and again :)

his big bet ott is a bit mental considering his holding, he probably thought you had a weaker hand and would bin it - ah well you live and you learn
