    hi all

several french aisofters reported the WE hi-capa magazines to be malfunctioning and blowing up when you refill them

the WE hi-capa guns are great, its just the magazines that arent trustworthy
just now i was just preparing my stuff for tomorrow and i put a magazine with a rest of gasin it on my table, and the bottom just blew off and crossed the whole room.

so i strongly recommend WE hi-capa users to drop all WE issued magazines and replace them with marui ones.

    whoa. scary stuff.

Thats a little disturbing ... and annoying. It kind of puts you off buying a hi-capa.

Does anyone know if this applies to any other mags or models? The Hi-Capa is very similar to the 1911 and the Browning.

no, it makes me wary of buying a 1911 from WE :p

basically its only the hi-capa mags from WE.
the bottom of those has just a long vertical screw which is not enough to hold the pressure.
the marui hi-capa magazines also have horizontal pins, which is alot safer

according to the pics i found on the internet, the WE 1911 mags are fine (they have horizontal pins)
and the marui ones must be ok because... well they're marui's, you know :)

And so you should be. They're crap. Absolute rubbish.
And the more of you I convince not to buy them, the more I get to keep for myself !!

hmmm... interesting alright, any chance of WE issuing a recall and replacing them? (doubtful, but you never know ;))

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,533 ✭✭✭iceage

dunno about all that but I ran through some blockage drills earlier this evening with my WE M1911, i.e. droppping mags, admittedly onto a soft surface with rapid reloads(well, I thought they were quick) and had no probs.. maybe just a Hi capa problem....

just a we hicapa magazine problem.

@kdouglas: a recall with replacement ? lol, that actually cracked me up. :D
