    i gave in the original v5 cert to the guys at revenue and they lost it:mad:
    how do i go about getting a new one
    the car is from the uk

    Your best bet would be to contact the DVLA and see if they'll issue a replacement.

    You shouldn't need it for a classic. The VRO in cork were willing to register my car with evidence of the V5 or the car.

    Well, you posted this on the Classic Cars board, so I guess we kind of assumed :D

    Confused by Maidhc's advice though. Does that give us the green light to go and steal any UK classic car, and just present it the VRO with no paperwork then?
