M50 Red cow south off slip

Did I hear correctly this morning, that the off ramp on the M50 south at the Red Cow will be closed until December? I believe the free flow into town will be ok, but if you want to head outbound on the N7, you will need to head down towards Ballymount, turn round and come back. This is lunacy, surely it would have made…

This is lunacy, surely it would have made sense to wait until the Ballymount junction was finished.
