Problem access http://del.icio.us from the NTL/UPC network

    Have any NTL/UPC customers been having problems accessing http://del.icio.us recently? I just get a blank page or a "connection reset" error any time I try to visit the site. It's been like this for a few weeks now. A mate of mine has NTL and he has the same problem. I've raised a ticket with NTL but other than the automated response I've had no contact from them.

    Ring NTL is your best bet. If you talk to someone they can sort it out for you!!
    It seems odd that they are blocking websites though.

    What about just the i.p. address, will that work ? It might just be a dns error. Have you tried different DNS server addresses in your configuration ? Worth a try ?

    What i.p. do you get if you ping del.icio.us ?

    I get 69.147.76.140 . If you're getting something different or not getting any reply at all then it might be DNS.

    well its not NTL's DNS servers as I'm using OpenDNS at the moment

    http://blog.del.icio.us/ works for me though

    I don't have the answer to why it does not work on NTL or Chorus (I am on the latter), but if you really want to get on del.icio.us, go to:

    http://www.proxyireland.com/

    and enter http://del.icio.us in the box and hit the Proxify button.
