    Born in the UK - entitled to UK passport automatically and all someone needs to do is apply?

    Will follow up to confirm with an embassy when I get a chance but wouldn't mind info from anyone who may know for now :)

    No - not if you were born on or after 1 January 1983. However, if you were born before this then you are automatically a British citizen.
