auto exchange

    hi all
    i bought a car off auto exchage last october it has been brought back to them 6-7 times with same problem manager giving no satisfaction sayin ill fix it this time but it is for a few days and then back to square 1 again
    just wondering how did ye find them if any one has dealt with them before:mad:

    Perhaps you could tell us what exactly keeps happening to the car? Is it something serious?

    goods must be fit for the purpose for which they were sold.. try to negotiate with vendor threaten adverese publicity on national airwaves... etc..seek legal advise on the ins and outs Your case is not cut and dried in court..sorry

    sorry lost link there.. the goods must be fit for purpuse management light and occasional failure to start will be very difficult to represent in law. again try to bluff garage if not start a campaign on radio and they may compensate to avoid negateive advertising..

    ive contacted solisitor citizens advise etc they saying 1 cars not fit for purpose intended 2 repairs are to be permanenet which they havent been looked up consumer laws and it says i now have right to refuse repair and demand refund or exchange

    AS you said... demand a refund/exchange or tell them you are taking them to court. Get as much paperwork as you can to prove how often it has been back to them for the same problem.
