Help choosing parts

I'm building a gaming rig and I have a few questions.

This is what I have chosen fo far:
OCZ StealthXStream Powersupply ATX/EPS, 600W, 120mm Fan, 4/8pin CPU,20/24pin


Point of View GeForce 8800GTS 640MB


Maxtor DiamondMax 10 200GB SATA 8MB 7200RPM I salvaging this from an old pc and I have a controller card for it.


Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz Socket LGA775, 8MB, BOXED w/fan


OCZ DDR2 PC9200 2048MB KIT, Reaper HPC, 2x1024MB, Heat Pipe, (CL5-5-5-16)

Is it worth getting PC2-9200 RAM?


Could somebody recommend me a motherboard and a case. The mobo doesn't need to be SLI but it should be good for overclocking
and the bus speed has to be high enough to fully utilize the RAM (1150 MHz). The case needs to be good for cooling.

I'm reusing the optical drives from my old pc.

Personally I'd avoid the OCZ RAM I keep seeing compatibility issues of various kinds with OCZ stuff and I dont think it is worth it.

Any P35 based motherboard can easily push the Q6600 to 3Ghz but you better have some decent air cooling on it.

If it were me I would not both with overclockers RAM and just run it with a divider at DDR-2 800 and get something like Crucial BallistiX low latency.

Ok. I'm going to swap the memory for the BallistiX.

Any recommendations for a case with decent airflow?

ABIT IP35 PRO, P35, Socket-775, ATX, Silent Otes2, 2xGbLAN, DDR2, 2xPCI-Ex16
What do you think of this board. Seems to be getting good reviews.
