No its not okay to camp in Glendalough - however, the IMC have a club hut in the Glendasan valley about 10 minutes walk from lower carpark in glendalough and you can camp on its grounds for a minimal fee. The hut, btw, has seen a lot of development in recent years and is no longer as rough as a badger's arse.

Basic medical kit you'll get in any good camping shop. As for a survival kit - how long is a piece of string?

Yep, you have to book it through the website though. I think camping is about a fiver a night.

While it is not permitted to camp in glendalough valley, as said above, they do allow wild camping in other areas of the national park (there's certain rules you have to respect), which surrounds glendalough, so if you were looking for a bit of a hike as well as a camp, you might want to investigate this.

Park boundaries can also be found on the site.
