I'm thinking of getting Sky+ I'm just wondering if there are any advantages/disadvantages in dealing with an agent or just ordering it online from Sky?

    Thanks

It doesn't really matter. If you order through sky the lead time maybe slightly longer as they have their own registered installers in the provinces & dependent on how busy they are defines how long you have to wait. Going through agent may be quicker as he may have his own installer & may be able to do it quicker. Biggest delay is the processing of the DD details & getting your viewing card.

Sometimes if you ring them you can getter a better deal than through an agent. Ask for the "introduce a friend offer" or any any offers they currently have. It was actually an agent that told me I would probably get a better deal by ringing sky direct.

Have a read of the other posts here, sometimes your local agent might do a neater job.
