    from digitalspy:

HD version of ITV1 to launch next Spring

High definition broadcasts from ITV1 will launch on digital satellite next Spring, the network confirmed today.

ITV plans to spend £10m during 2008 on the launch of ITV1 HD and its participation in Freesat, the upcoming digital satellite marketing joint-venture with the BBC.

The broadcaster said it would "continue to support the growth of Freeview and lead the campaign for high definition on the digital terrestrial television platform."

Corrie and Emmerdale in HD? :)

Still, tis another HD channel, I suppose, and most likely FTA, making 2 HD channels, along with BBC HD.

Wouldn't think so. I would think it will be similar to what the BBC are doing at the moment.
