You're right,39 mins long and i was at it.Was one of the punters at the back with my girlfriend and everyone couldn't believe he had finished. Since then he has played in the point with a set an hour and a half long and full orchestra.Apparently he even apologised that the last gig was so good.

Cocky ****er but will still go to see him

Keep the gigs in the park i say, point is such a dodgy sh1thole with bad sound

isn't the big top at phoenix park only 8,000?

well it is for a certain gig that's there before kanye.

and seriously anyone who plays a concert for 39minutes charges more than 30 euros can feck off tbh.

Word on the grapevine is that it will be postponed until Feb.

His first European show is/was supposed to be in London next week.

    Thanks for the info,

    Where are you hearing this?

Where would the official announcement be posted first?

Anyone have an update on this? According to his website and myspace the concerts are still going ahead??

Yeh but they also dont even seem to mention anything about what happened to his mother.

Have a feeling that it will be cancelled/postponed,

She played a huge role in his career as well as being his mother of course.

Is there any official confirmation of this?, can't find anything on MySpace or his blog!

It wouldnt even be funny how much this would cost Aiken to reschedule. They are already losing lots of money on the Marquee in the Park gigs it would seem with MIA cancelled and nothing else other than Kanye having sold out.

Hopeeveryone enjoys the gig. I can't make it boohoo :(

Ok folk just wondering what the best way to get these tickets ,, it is first come first served for the golden circle In the Phoneix Markee?? anyone who was there for of the previous concerts in The Markee might know . Thanks!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,326 ✭✭✭Zapp Brannigan

Whats the Golden Circle? The Pit? The pit, if that's what you're on about, is usually first come first serve.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 166,026 ✭✭✭✭LegacyUser

sorry i mean the pit.. what time would i want 2 be there at??

Hi all, just a quick question about this gig tonight. I'm wondering is the marquee open at the sides and most important whats the ground around it like? Want to be prepared, think wellies might be needed going by the weather today.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13 cheadercheese

I'm bringing wellies! Its been rainig and the ground is already a bit water logged. Don't know if it'll be open at the sides though ?

Do you know how to get there?
I was thinking of just getting the bus or luas , but I don't know how far down Chesterfield Avenue it is. Any ideas?

Was chattin' to kanye earlier, he thinks it'll be ok muck wise (his words) and say's he's going to chance a pair of those really trendy cat boots. True story.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,169 ✭✭✭ironictoaster

You needed to be earlier than that. I was there an hour and half early in the queue and there was at least a good 50+ people ahead of me. I did get pretty much up to front and saw no "special area" Just a bunch of people getting crushed.

On an another note, fair play to him for actually playing considering his mother died recently.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 166,026 ✭✭✭✭LegacyUser

was no pit.. didint like the way he didnt talk 2 the crowd

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52 ✭✭ang

I was up the very front, there was no pit. Phoenix Park isn't a great venue, the marquee wasn't that big. I was up the very front and I have never been pushed so much in all my life! It was great seeing Kanye up close, he put on a great show.
