Sleeping Less

Got the idea for this from a AH thread.

What can I do to help myself function on three or four hours of sleep?

I used to be bright eyed and bushy tailed with just four hours of sleep and I would like to get back into that habit for college/study as I find I can concentrate more easily early in the day than later in the day.

At the moment I'm going on six hours a night, what can I do that would help me cut that down to four?

My, what a bizarre question to ask. Ignoring the actual stress that you will put your body under, why not simply use an alarm-clock to wake yourself up 3 / 4 hours after you get into bed.

I've tried that and that alone won't help. I would like to be able to function on only four hours sleep. Not just wake up after only four hours.

That's a lost cause. Your body just won't be able to cope with that, long-term. You will become stressed, lethargic, and possibly depressed. You will also find concentrating harder. If you go to any doctor, they would NOT recommend this.

Actually, you're beginning to remind me of Honoré de Balzac, a French writer. His sleeping pattern was completely bizarre :)
