Injuries

I've had a particular injury on a link bone with my right knee for 2 years now and I'm getting very worried about it. Nobody knows I still have it, I sustained it in Soccer training because I didn't warm up properly. I play a number of sports in badminton, rugby, and more importantly Gaelic Football and Soccer. I was playing a soccer match at the weekend against Slane and I took a shot with my favorite left boot and it smashed off the bar, but while all this was done I fell to the ground. My coach seemed worried for me, and so well he should because this particular injury acted up again, but I didn't tell him that as I had feared I may loose my place in the team for a while. Instead I tolled him I only fell with the shot. So I played on in pain for 20 minutes on.

I'm getting extreamly worried about my injury as it could be really bad, but I don't want to be kept out of the team with this because I'm top scorer this season, even from midfield, and I'm enjoying it as IMO I've the potenial to bring us to the league championship. Any advise?

    Thanks in advance,
    Nailz.

Go to a physio. Sooner the better!
If its a serious injury, you'll only end up making it worse, possibly to the extent that you will do long term damage. A good physio will tell you exactly what's wrong, and how to treat it. Listen and take their advice - don't just play through an injury cos of the team. If you're top scorer and as good as you say don't worry, you won't lose your place cos you have to miss a few games through injury

Thank you buddy, I may do that. But should I tell my Gaelic coaches because they have a physio whom they pay for (but keep in mind I'm shy in saying this to them), or should I go to a private physio and see what he/she says before the football coaches, as they worry too much on fello' team mates who had 'minor' injuries?
