Conan release date brought forward

This was due to come out earlier this year I think and then was pushed back to 2008 to be further polished etc. Now apparently THQ, the publishers, have put it down for the end of this month as they are under financial pressure it seems.

I wonder are we therefore looking at a game that's not going to live up to its potential? I hope not as I was looking forward to this as a possible break from the more grind-heavy mmo's out there, which I've long since gotten bored with. Did anyone here get in on the beta?

That sounds a little worrying. It could be a hell of a flop due to lack of advertising, and if they are in financial trouble, what are the chances of them just selling it off to Sony to screw up
