Setting up a Young Greens Society

DCU is the only university in Ireland that the Young Greens have not yet set up in. The chairman of the Young Greens asked me to start this thread to enquire whether there would be anyone here willing to set up a new Young Greens Society in DCU. I think you need 10 names to set up the new society. Considering the fact that there is an Environmental Soc in DCU, you'd think that there would be sufficient interest there for a Young Greens branch in DCU. Much help will be given if required for the day-to-day running of the YG's branch.

Anyone interested...please PM me. Thanks very much.

to form a society, you need a constitution and a list of twenty interested memebers. this will be brought to the spc ( society and publications commitee) who will accept it or deny it.

if there is already an enviromental soc id talk to them and see what their constituation is like because as far as i know if a proposed soc has a similar constitution to that of another society, it wont be allowed to form

Well I'm not in DCU, I was just asked to start this thread for any interested students in DCU.

But thanks for the info anyway.

    Hi,
I'm prob one of the best contacts for the Enviro Soc at this point (we're changing over committee's right now) I was one of the founders and the first chair.

Give me a pm if you want to know any specifics.

oh but dcu isn't the most politically minded college - its hard to meet quorum in elections, nevermind get a political society off the ground!

You know that, how? I would have joined a young greens society if there was one and I didnt join any other political society...or maybe i'm like you, just not politically minded
