    Hi all,

Just wondering can anyone help me, looking for some info on claiming tax back.

Story is, have a working holiday visa for Oz for 12months and I wanted to know if I can claim tax back for this year. I know there are agencies such as taxback.com to do this for you but I have heard nothing but bad news about them and that there commission is very high..

So what I really want to know is 1: Can I claim tax back? 2nd: How or where can I find out about doing it?

Cheers in advance Guys and Girls,

    Danny.

Have you tried looking at the Australian Government's website?

    www.australia.gov.au , specially here: http://www.australia.gov.au/Tax

Leaving from Oz myself in the end of october. You can go to your local tax office when you receive your P45 (Cant apply until you finish up work) and fill out a P50 form or something. You can fill out your bank details on the form and they will put the tax back in your account for you a couple of weeks later.
