Villian has just started playing but has been sitting out at the table for ten or fifteen minutes.
I've been playing pretty aggro over 100 hands or so. 28/23 or thereabouts.
I'm on a bit of a rush for those who believe in such things.
Should I raise the flop a bit more here - I seem to overdo it or underdo it lately.
As the hand is effectively being played 70bbs deep against an unknown should the money always end up in the middle here after the flop action and turn card?

    Shove the flop

Yeah just shove the flop, he doesnt have enough chips for anything else really.

If he had more chips i would raise more than 40 though, 55 sounds good.

I was a bit afraid of the player to act behind me when the flop was co-ordinated and all. But I wanted to eliminate him by raising in case he had some sort of draw so i kind of fell between two stools and made a sad raise.
Should I be worrying about the guy behind me so much here?

Wow i didnt notice that, then i dont shove. I wouldnt be worrying about him so much that i wouldnt raise the flop.

Make it 55 though, 40 is too small.

well I wouldn't shove the flop but I think 55 is good

Well fwiw I shoved the turn thinking I might have the best hand or I had the draw to fall back on. He called with QTo. River is an 8 to give me the pot. Played horribly on flop but got there somehow. Thanks for the replies - I'll be making it 55 next time!

in hindsight he prob would have called 55, thinking he had 9 outs.
    agree 55/60 for flop
on such a board, and him betting out turn, i would have flat called and re-assessd depending on river, and his action
