could someone please clear this one up for me. do you need a licence, or a test or something to work as a barman in the States? I heard a few things, I heard you need to go to college as barmen can earn some serious cash in America, I also heard you have to do a small test, like a driving theory test. I don't know what to believe.

I also heard that some bars don't require a licence or test at all. so anyone with experience or who knows the score please fill me in

Well I dunno for sure but many Irish students ect. go over on J1s during the summer and often work in bars.

Presume it depends on the establishment.

I know not much help, but thought I give u my cents worth

I presume you need to be over 21 and a lot of people on J1 would be underage.
    Could be wrong though
