There's a lot of contenders, but for me it's definitely ELEVATOR by HOT HOT HEAT. It's just a marvellous collection of the most fun, happy, sweet and downright brilliant songs in years.

    Magic.

Dunno if classed as Pop Rock

The Star Spangles - Bazooka ... kinda pop punk

Eagles of Death Metal - Death by Sexy

    Electric Six - Fire

With the term 'pop-rock' I'm using an encompassing, wide-ranging area of music. It would be slightly heavier than, say, Liberty X, but more accessible than Black Flag. With an overriding sense of fun to boot.

All the bands mentioned so far I would consider in this genre.

Big shout out to the Eagles Of Death Metal nod there :D

Sorry to wage the genre war but Eagles of Metal are definitely not pop rock (and their first album was far better than Death by Sexy).

Pop rock, also known as wuss rock. Stuff like Maroon 5 and Matchbox 20, no?

I think he's just using it in a HMV Pop/Rock A-Z kind of way.

Not really, he is now and was before alright, but gold is about as pop rock as ya can get imo, with the exception of 'someday, somehow' and maybe 'answering bell' . . . none of the other songs are country at all on 'Gold'
