I have never come across it on any satellite but maybe you should look at their web site.

A CMT Europe did exist, but closed around 1998. Those of you with especially long memories may remember that RTÉ used it to fill some daytime hours in the early 1990s...

    From CMT.com

    Q. Will CMT Europe or CMT Australia return?
    A. No, the international version of CMT was owned and operated by another company. That company changed its name to Music Country and is no longer the name CMT.

surprised Sky don't try and get them onto their music mix. I switched that mix for the one with the biography channel in about four months ago as the likes of VHI Classic etc had gone to the dogs altogether. If they got CMT on board they may have a winner!

It's not up to Sky, the company who ran the european incarnation are defunct.
It would require a new company to set it up.
    The US company aren't interested.

Besides I remember hearing at the time that CMT Europe had very low ratings, though it is fondly remembered by people.

There is a combination of information in that last post, which might cause computers around the world to stop computing, with its unique country/satellite/anorak/nostalgia counterpoints. :D
