I got one done yesterday in Cork. AFAIK, the place I got it done only does it twice a month. Back tomorrow for the result.

most people dont usually need them in a hurry, save patients who are suspected of having or having had exposure to TB.
you could always present at a hospital faking the symptoms of TB (not a real suggestion)

How exactly would you fake the symptoms of TB?
    Coughing up blood?

why do you want it done? Mantoux testing is not an accurate science and can sometimes cause more trouble than its worth. There are many people who end up on TB treatment who perhaps should not be because it is precautionary when it turns up borderline positive

Is TB on the rise in Ireland? A friend of mine was diagnosed with it recently :O

it is on the rise currently - but TB is a disease you get when physically debilitated - the immune system normally can fight it off completely and only in a weakened state can it escape. However, many people harbour latent TB - and this is sometimes detected on a mantoux test.
