    Plonk:

    Meh, that's borning...

I know! Lets kick and stamp on it! That usually works when I'm trying to beat information out of my enemies...

Take it box! You're my bitch now!

    46846e581a6bc329.jpg

    Hmm, what's this inside?

    46846e581a7064d6.jpg

The savage beating I administered on the box has worked! It's given up it's secrets. I declare the box a wuss.

    46846e581a741605.jpg

I think it's some sort of device.

Lets plug it in and see what happens?

    46846e581a77c355.jpg

YARGH!!! It's a laser beam with which to blind mine enemies!

    Or is it?

Nay, it is a mighty Tubescreamer, and not just any Tubescreamer at that, it's a TS7 modded by Bodenhamer Electronics and first impressions are, it slays!

Haven't had that much time with the pedal, but I'm running this baby as a clean boost infront of my Fireball. It just sounds... Better. The Fireball is already tight as hell and has lots of clarity, but the Tubescreamer makes it even tighter, cleaner, pushes the mids a bit more, and at lower volume, doesn't sound as fizzy, so to speak.

I would've thought running a boost into such a high gain amp is a bit pointless, but honestly, I can see why so many people do it. I was still apprehensive about the pedal adding any undue noise, because I tried using a Boss MT-2 as a boost back when I had the Mesa, but that just wasn't working out for me at all, and it was insanely noisey. The TS7 however, isn't. I was also worried about how it would effect the clean channel, but it's still clean as hell, so I'm not so worried any more.

I still haven't messed with the settings much yet, so it could sound even better, but so far, I'm damned pleased.

    Chaos mod.

I'm damned happy with this baby, especially considering it cost less to buy a new modded one from Bodenhamer than a new one from Thomann. ;)

Karl do you think there will ever come a day when you'll be capable of taking a non blurry/inferior quality photo? :p

Hey, all I've got is my camera phone, so it's either that or nothing.

Still though, you can make out how awesome the LED is. One thing's for sure, if you accidentally leave it plugged in, you'll know about it.

Behringer stuff isn't bad for the price, but I'd say any good quality overdrive would definetly be something to invest in.

    Hmm, interesting...

Have you ever considered getting a VHT Valvulator? It's a kind of buffer thing that stops the signal degrading (Not really sure how), and doubles as a regulated DC power supply for up to 4 pedals. I've not used one myself, but I know a fellow who runs one of these in his pedalboard, and he absolutely swears by it.

I don't really have much in the way of pedals myself, just the new TS7, Morley Wah, and ISP Decimator. All pretty high quality I believe.

How much did the customs cream you for?

I bought an Edwards Les Paul JS through from Japan and they were asleep that day, so it cost me nothing else in duty.

No customs at all. I think small things like this get through no problem.
