He pulled out of an U21 tournament thingy some time ago.

Appalling behaviour, Phil Neville to a lesser extent was booed when his substitution was announced.

I can't understant the mentality myself.

Cos he pulled out of the U-21 euro championships cos he said he was tired. If he didn't think he could perform to his best then why let the rest of the team carry him.

His antics as an U21 perhaps?

Because he pulled out of an England B game I think at the end of last season saying he needed a rest?

The written media have lambasted him for it since and most English fans who frequent Wembley just form their opinions by reading the rags.

Edit: that's right it was the U-21 Euros

He pulled out after the final squad was annouced meaning they werent allowed call up a replacement. Bad form imo.

Yep. Not like Ireland fans, they'd never boo anyone.

That's right, he let the team down. I don't like booing, but if you do what he did, you kind of need to expect some form of response from the fans.

I hear David Bentley will be moving to Shelbourne Rovers in the Jan transfer window. Expect half of England to become Shels fans :D

Nah, I'm not going anywhere with this one. Obviously I am mistaken. Apologies for my initial bout of sarcasm.

I would have gone for The Fratellis - Chelsea Dagger myself.
