Lucky you, if you have Oracle skills you wont be short of cash as you gain experience.

They have a good reputation as an employer - hard not to when techs get paid really well.

I've heard mixed reports about Oracle as a work place. The impression I got was that the experience could differ a lot depending on what section you worked in, how release-critical it is and how well/badly it was managed.

Hey, I spent 3 years working at Oracle in their IT department. It was a great place to work in, fond memories and good work environment.

Best of luck to you there!

I worked there for one year (software engineer type job.)

The people in the place are nasty. Clever, arrogant, nasty people. There was a lot of bullying there when I worked there.

Oracle as an employer though is a great employer, with lots of money and a reasonably relaxed corporate environment.

Sorry to drag this thread up but I've a CV with them at the moment for an Senior Java Engineer role so I'd be interested if anyone else has experience of working there?

Are certain sections better than others, i.e. Consulting, Support, Netsure etc?

DublinDudes comments don't make it sound like a pleasant place to work!

LadyGodiva how have you found working there?

    Cheers,
