Changing the name on a flight - Aer Lingus

    Sorry if this has been asked already, I had a quick look for it.

    I booked return flights for me and the missus to New York in November. I cannot go now and was wondering can I somehow change the names on the tickets so I can possible sell them [and if so, what are the charges?] and try to recoup some of the money!

    I have spent the last 30 minutes on the phone to aer lingus and it keeps cutting off when I select the relevant option (great!).

    Can anyone offer some advice??

    As far as I know Aer Lingus are fairly flexible about changing flights. It costs €40 each way to make destination/date changes so i presume it'd be the same for names.

    I finally managed to get through to a human on the Aer Lingus help desk...to change names on a ticket costs €70 per person. Now to find someone who might be interested in 2 very reasonably priced tickets to NY...over to the For Sale forum for me.
