Anyone know if Photobox have a limit on individual file size when uploading photographs to be printed? I thought not but it's completely ignoring my effort to upload a 6MB file at the moment and I'd like to get it ordered tonight as it's gonna be a birthday present.

I see this on the upload page

"We are trialling new faster uploads. If you have problems, please click here to use the old method."
Maybe the new method isn't working for you?

FTP is also a good way to go

EDIT: just uploaded a 6.5Mb Jpg there no problem.

Arrgh. I've tried both. I'll give it a shot in the morning again.

I could be very much mistaken, but I think I once uploaded a 37mb file for printing. I'd advise using the ftp upload method, everything else is just pants.

Someone will have to hold my hand through that then if it's no bother. I clicked on ftp and wound up in the directory structure with no clue as to how to get stuff from my hard drive into the directory I wanted to go to and frankly I never go anywhere ftp except on a mainframe.

I eventually uploaded it using the html form because I couldn't get the Java applet to run for me at all. It's possible that my firewall is being a nuisance as it is a nuisance on a hell of a lot of other fronts such as with the flickr uploader.

It wasn't such a big deal because I only had the one shot to do and it's there now but it will have to be rectified soon enough. Maybe if I get ftp working for me my life will be much much easier.

if youre using firefox, download the fireftp extension, then right click on the ftp link and click open in fireftp... then you can drag and drop your folders from your local hard drive into your albums in photobox...

The java app they put in has to be the worlds greatest pain in the arse. It's never worked once for me. I always resort to using ftp.

Thank you. I really appreciate it, particularly when I ask muppetlike questions. I'll get that sorted out this evening.
