Gunk in the barrel

Had a great day yesterday in HRTA but was noticing that my AUG wasn't shooting as straight as I wanted it too. So got up this morning and decided to give it a good clean (it has only been in only two skirmishes). Looking down the barrel I noticed it was fairly unclean so ran the cleaning rod down it a few times but to no avail. Took the actual barrel out and saw that there was a white hardened residue covering the inside of the barrel. Took at least 2 hours and half a can of silicon spray to finally clean it (the stuff inside wasn't shifting easily). When I ordered the gun I had a Madbull Version II tight bore barrel installed on it by Airsoft Warehouse. I'm just wondering if this has happened to anyone else who ordered a new barrel? Was it caused by poor quality control by Madbull or instillation by Airsoft Warehouse?

The Madbull barrels are not very good for that specific reason. I don't know why people buy them, eventually it will start flaking like yours. It's just a poor product by Madbull.

Really? What do you mean by flaking? The problems seems to be ok now that I've given it a good clean

    try bb's with lower diameter

im using "blaster" bb's for years now, never had any issue.
im using 6.03 barrels on all my replicas, and i have a taniokoba twisted barrel on my high capa, which is still very clean and shows no trace of flaking whatsoever.

so yeah, try using bb's of another brand.

Quite often the barrel in clones needs a good clean when they come out of the box, but an upgraded/tightbore barrel i would expect to be quite clean, although i've never tried a madbull tb, id try different bb's alright, that's the unfortunate thing about tightbore's, some brands of bb just dont agree with them.

My prometheus 6.03mm works perfectly. Maybe try them next time.
