airsoft-warrior.com sending damaged goods.

Recently a group of mates and I bought my friend a £70 airsoft gun, not including shipping. It arrived in an unprotective box in a black bag, and it turned out to be broken. I have written many emails to airsoft-warrior.com, only the first of which was replied to. They seem to have ignored this matter.

I am wondering is there any course of action I can take?

I feel that they should at least refund the full cost of the gun and shipping, if not rush-deliver a new gun of equal or greater value. I am also concerned that they are trying to delay the matter until October 1st, when the UK legislation will change.

Did you use paypal? If so you can file a paypal dispute/claim.

They're probably stupidly eyeball deep in orders from UK players trying to beat the deadline.

I don't see how delaying the matter gives them any advantage given that a) any item sent back by you would fall to them importing since they've caused an RIF to be imported, and since they are retailers can avail of the defense. And b) the VCRA covers the sale of RIFs in the UK and does not cover exports.

As Liam has said, if you used paypal you can get resolution. Just don't mention anything to do with airsoft in the description or title since paypal doesn't like airsoft apparently ...

Another thing to note; since emails are not being responded to, I'll ask if you somehow do not have access to a phone? If you do, use it.

I payed by credit card sadly. And I was unsure of what the legislation change would entail. If it is not to be worried about, then that is better I suppose.

Regardless, I'd be chasing the hell out of airsoft-warrior. Even though the VCRA does not cover exports, there is going to be fallout in the first few months as overzealous/ill-informed jobsworth types seize on everything left right and centre in the name of the illusion of social safety.

You should check with your CC company and see your purchase was covered by insurance. Some companies will now cover purchases in this way. There might be some come back there and they inturn may claim from Airsoft Warrior.

id go with the phone option, give them a ring and tell them you want it sorted or you'll be getting onto your credit card company

I wouldnt hold your breath on them answering the phone. They never pick up they just let it drop to voicemail... I had some problems with gear they sent me as well... never got it resolved

I'd contact your credit card company and initiate a charge back as the goods were shipped to you faulty and they are not responding to you.
