Anyone know who are the best recruitment company to go to about a job in R&D? Or where to find companies involved in it (not easy!)?

I am fed up of my present job, shift type work (days/nights), plenty of time off and plenty of money/perks, but I don't enjoy it anymore as its way too quiet...i.e. nothing to do.

I'd be looking for something suiting my skills (I've a BEng in Mechatronics and MSc in Mech&Manufacturing with about 5 years exp.)

    Oh and Dublin/Leinster area.

Any help/ideas would be great :D

Lulz, it's "Research and Development" - Ireland is crap at it but Bertie thinks it's de way to go.

OP, have you tried directly contacting any of the big firms e.g. Intel and Hewlett-Packard?

I work as a vendor in Intel so can't for min 6mths after I'd leave present employer, and anyway I would never work for the "borg".

@feyela, worked for HP again as a vendor, same thing really as Intel but a nicer place though, don't want to go as far as Galway (actually I've limited myself to Dublin/Meath/Kildare/Louth).

@dublindude, My programming skills would be limited to programming for engineering (eg PLC's, process related programming...)

@ibid, Bertie is right for once, R&D is the way to go if we want to have jobs for our highly skilled/trained workers. Especially as manufacturing is going down the drain big time.

    Anyone else?
