Can anyone recommend a mechanic for a 1974 911 in the south east. I used to go to Barry whelan in Dublin but have moved to the SE.

    Hi Traumadoc,
You may have difficulty finding someone local who's willing to take on mechanical work on your 911. I had a small job done on my wifes modern car last week, at a little back street place in Waterford called Hegarty & Doherty garage, and I asked him would he have a look at a problem on the Stag for me. Not only would he not even look at it, he also said that there was no one in Waterford that would take on mechanical work on an older car. Too much hassle apparently. If you do find some one, will you let me know.
If its body work, there's a guy called Damian Irish in Slieverue who's supposed to be very good.
P.S. is your 911 a light blue Targa?

Yes Im the Targa, I was only looking for a service, Deevys said they would get back to me, trouble is getting the parts-

Ah yes thats a nice car. I was behind you on the Dunmore road, in a red Stag a couple of weeks ago.
A service should be straight forward enough, even on a flat six. Although isn't there something unusual about changing the oil on those? Is it a dry sump or something?

Will have to start making mental notes of who is who on the roads around here!

List of classic related garages etc Something might be in here.

    Mike.
