Hey guys, I'm considering getting a new electric guitar soon and am looking for some advice on what to buy?
I really like the look of the Ivory Epiphone (Les Paul Standard), or I'd like a Fender or a regular electric or something.. But I'm not sure about prices/quality etc? I don't want a really expensive one, but then I don't want a really cheap crappy one either..
    Help? Thanks :D

If you're looking for a Les Paul type guitar, try and get a used Japanese made one, such as an Edwards, Bacchus or Tokai. They won't be too expensive at all, and be far superior to any Epiphone you could buy.

Try have a look here: http://www.ishibashi.co.jp/u_box/

Many of us on boards have bought from them before, so keep an eye out.

They come up on ebay fairly often too, so have a look there. For example, check out this one.

Bear in mind that LP style guitars can be pretty heavy guitars, especially for a female player.

Just bought an Edwards Les Paul......amazing axe. Quality build...sound.
Not too expensive.....€500 for axe...€100 to post from Japan + customs tax 21%.

I own a Gibson Les Paul.....these are not far away from the Gibson quality for a fraction of the price.

    www.katanaguitars.com or powersellers on ebay.
You must import them from Japan as they do not sell outside the country.
They are the Japanese side of ESP.....fricken expensive axes.
