Burning across multiple DVDs?

    Looking for ideas guys,
I regularly backup up some dbs/data that spans multiple dvds. Software wise this is not a problem, but its a real pain in the ass having to come back to the pc and change cds/dvds!

I dont know if there is affordable hardware out there into which one can load multiple dvds? If there was it would be great , have seen some robots which are very expensive.

Barring a hardware solution maybe someone might know a way in which an alarm could sound when a dvd swop is required or something, any help much appreciated.

    Dopey.

Two (reasonable) suggestions: compression (see 7-zip.org) or external hard drive.

Have you considered tape backup? Excellent solutions out there if you need to archive. Internal or external options available with ever increasing capacity.
