    Hi,
Im trying to decide between a fender or roland amp. I have to decide between a jazz chorus or a hot rod. I play light rock and some funk.

For Rock/Funk I would go with a Fender

For anything at all I'd go with the Fender.

I'd say the Blues Deluxe would be better for your purposes.

If you use effects pedals at all I'd say go for the JC. If you're mainly just gonna use the really nice blues crunch I'd say go with the Fender. Both will do fantastic cleans. I have a JC for sale on adverts for €550 if you're interested

From a reliability whilst gigging point of you go Roland I would say. I have found Fender amps to be very unreliable in withstanding the rigours of lots of gigs. They sounds lovely though.

If you get a hotrod, just change out the valves for something decent before you do anything with it. The stock valves sound like the dying wails of some kind of feline roadkill.
