Anyone know of any regular games in Kildare. I usually play in Naas on a Wednesday but am looking for a few more games.

Theres a cardclub, favourites, in maynooth. They run games most nights.
As well as regular pub games in Naas, Celbridge etc

Was at village inn, celbridge, on wednesday night 9pm about 50 people there, 30 buy in, 20 buy back, then a few side games going for 20 in after that if you're not still in the mix for the win...

Nate, 40 minutes will have you in to anyone of the excellent value card clubs in Town and its even quicker coming home ;)
All games professionally dealer dealt in very comfortable surroundings at 10% or less reg fee for tourneys.

Not much on other than the Town House and its value ridden cash game. Dublin is the place to spin in to.

Its on the opposite side of the carpark to one of the pubs, can't remember the pubs name, not the roost or the LA, the one between the two

Thanks for the replies. I played a couple of tournaments in Favourites, but the structure was ridiculous. the blind doubled every 15 mins. a complete crapshoot from the start.

I guess heading into Dublin is my best bet.

    Really,

By all the accounts I have heard Favourites have a really good setup.

Its located in the town mall. Main street, through a tunnel which says Mall on it and its up a stairs on the right hand side.

    Hi All,

Any of you who have played with us in the Club will know that we do our best to offer good games in a friendly atmosphere and generally the response is positive,of course we can,t be all things to all men or women. We are a small club and cater for 3 tables max so need to utilize the tables for both tournament and cash games and therein lies the reason for tight blind structures. We don,t compete with the Clubs in the city centre and from playing in all of them I can,t say anything wrong with their structures and they provide good games too.I do recall playing in the Fitz in a Sunday Freeze Out where we started at 8.30pm and ended chopping the pot 3 ways at 4am ! For me personally this was a verrry long game:) considering the entry was €50 and we each received €500 for the chop.I don,t think the majority of players coming to Favourites want to sit for that length of time to win a few euros but this is only my opinion.Any game that costs over €100 to enter will have 30 minute blinds and our tues/fri/sat games will have 15 min blinds but all last at least 4 hours. Can I also make the point that our starting stacks are larger than those I have played with for longer blind length tournaments for example our deep stack on a saturday is 10k and tuesday and friday is 5k.

Finally thank you to all who have visited the Club and to those who continue to support us.

    Ken

Perhaps I was a bit harsh in my post. There is some play in early rounds. I should also should have balanced my response by saying that the club itself is very nice as are the people there. The food at the break was also quite tasty.

I also truly believe that small regional clubs should be supported as they offer an alternative to people who can't travel to any of the larger venues.

I hope there are no hard feelings, and I might see you tonight in Kilcock.
