no your legally allowed to work before that age just fro a limited time in certain hours and other legal mumbo jumbo requirements

Same (or it could have been 15. Whatever the legal age was, I was one year below and had to fake my D.O.B.)

I was 15, going on 16, it was work experience in transition year, every friday for the year... It was supposed to be experience (i.e. no pay) but i got £30 (which went up to €40 after christmas - enter the euro!) a week, which wasn't bad...

It was in a solicitor's office, did i go into law? Nope, computers here

15 in an orchard, that was only 4 years ago. Think i got roughly 20 stg a day, where i quickly learned the irish concept of burning through my money as fast as i could, leaving me skint tuesday onwards till next pay day, rinse repeat.

16-got it as a result of transision year work experience. I worked in a primary school during the summer with the caretaker, re-painting the place, cleaning it, fixing everything that was broken, cutting the grass, re-arranging the furniture, everything.

17, glass collecting in Sir Henry's. Those were the days. Everyone in school suddenly wanted to be my best friend so they could get in.

At 16, babysitting 7 children. I would give the children supper, put them to bed, read them a story then clean up the kitchen. I got paid £4 per night, but I was happy with that.
