Its Wrong But It Feels So Right

I made the mistake of switching to the Golf Channel the last day and I was instantly hooked into a lesson with Ledbetter. He was talking about how amateurs make the mistake of gripping the club too tightly, especially with the left hand and therfore lose feel and also because of the tension created by the tight grip they also lose using the weight of the club to create good centrifugal force, his tip was this. Take your normal grip but now release your last 2 fingers on your left hand (your pinky and ring finger, the ones closest to your body), now take a normal swing. It makes you slow the swing down but mainly you seem to create effortless clubhead speed, my problem now is that when I pt those 2 fingers back on I feel myself not swinging aswell as when the 2 fingers are off.

    Sounds all abit to complex
My advice hold the club as loose as possible with both hands but start by hitting say a 3/4 pitching wedge to try and blend it in.
This will boost your confidence. I remember when i worke on this found it impossible with a full shot but over time hitting 3/4 shots i got it dialed in now.
Sounds crazy but when you hold the club as loose as possible you actually create a hude amount of club head speed.
Kind of like throwing a stone if you hold it tight in your hand you will create very little whip action but if you hold it loose then we are in business.
