    Hey Ladies,

What do you call the type of jewellery in the images? I know it's not real diamonds and I have seen them on ladies when out and about. I'd like to try and pick them up for the missus. I thought eBay would be a good starting point. Any idea if these have a specific name?

Diamanté? The neck one is a choker, not sure of the name of the wrist ones.

There are lots of stores that sell costume jewellery on eBay. Look for ones that specialise in bridal jewellery as they'll have diamante stuff.

The neck is a diamante choker and the arm one is a diamante cuff! I'd leave the diamante and go for diamonds! :p

Thanks for the help folks. I purchased what I needed from eBay. As much as I'd love to go for real diamonds, I simply don't make that much money to buy it! The diamante stuff isn't for any serious occassions.

Good to know River Island stocks some, thanks for that information.

Sorry to drag this old thread up but it's better than starting a new thread. I bought some of this jewellery and the missus wore it on occasion. It spent most of it's time in her jewelerry box but the other day she took it out as she was going to wear it somewhere. Thing is it had completely lost it's shine and was as dull as dishwater. It looked grey rather than sparkling.

What's happened to it, is there a way to get it sparkling again or do we need to buy new pieces? If we need to buy new jewellery how do we stop it loosing it's sparkle again?

Try a mild wash with Miltons (the sterilizing fluid used for cleaning bottles) or a very dilute bleach and a soft toothbrush. Making no promises though. :o

If you go searching on ebay again try looking for swarovski crystals. Not diamonds but super glittery. Then make Mrs. Hattori some custom jewlery.

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.

Soft toothbrush and Fairy Liquid will clean them off beautifully.

Ensure that when your lady sprays/rubs perfume on herself that she isn't getting any on the jewellery...the alcohol in it and in body creams will ruin the sparkles..

I'm not sure what happened to the images, probably to do with the fact they were on imageshack which isn't the most reliable. Anywhoo it's the type of jewellery below:

If you have one of those little sonic jewellery cleaning thingies they do a good job on diamanté jewellery also!!
