I know that you can only carry on ten or fifteen kilos(which is it btw?) but whats the maximum size bag you can carry on a Ryanair flight?
Also, will my ear piercing set off the metal detector? I don't want to have to take it out unless I'm forced to, I might not be able to get it back in.
    Thanks

its 15kg on ryanair flights. Any size bag will be allowed as long as its not oversized, then you will pay through the nose :(

no your piercing should'nt trigger the alarm. if it does the security will run the detector over the piercing to make sure and let you through

Edit: sorry i didn't think you meant carry on bags :P then its ten kilos

10kg weight for Ryanair carry on, bag size limit 55cm x 40cm x 20cm, was only pulled up on this once in stansted as I went through the boarding gates, my holdall wouldn't fit into the sizing cage, she said I'd have to check it in but I managed to get through a different boarding gate instead, she was weighing bags also, so it depends on who youy get I reckon, have gotten away with a hand luggage holdall on 10 or more occasions...

Thanks for that I got a nice sized bag yesterday that should fit the bill. I'm going to weight my bag before i go! The reason I was worried about the earring was for when I'm coming back-I don't speak croatian, so I want boarding and stuff to be a smooth as possible! (this is only my second trip by plane, can you tell?)

Ryanair are very unlikely to worry about what you carry on once it fits in the overhead locker. The only place I've seen any hassle is at any of the London airports where security staff rather than check in staff check the size of bags. I presume this is what quickstitch is referring to.

    You'll be fine. Enjoy Croatia.
