    Hi
Drivign a saab 93 convertable and today when I started it up, I'm getting warning airbag light on the dash and it stays on when I'm driving. Can someone exlain this to me please? Why would this come on all of a sudden for no reason and until I take it to a garage is it liable to go off when I'm driving? I.e. Am I safe to drive it?
    Thanks

It could be a faulty air bag sensor.

Usually under the front seats there are air bag sensor connections. The cable or connection may have come loose when the seat was adjusted. Or else someone sitting in the rear could have accidently kicked it or got their foot caught in it.

It should be ok to drive the car but the air bag may not deploy in a accident. I would have a garage take a look at it as soon as possible though from a safety point of view.

Thanks for that, I'll check under the seat for a cable and take it to the garage tommorrow. Do you know how to turn off the airbag in the 93? My old car had a switch but I can't find one in the saab?
    Thanks
