I have a fault on my Ibanez RG570, when I roll the tone pot back fully the volume cuts out any idea why this would happen and how i can fix it? I've got a H-S-H config with a 5 way selector no mods. This happens in every position

I'd imagine it's one of two things mate...

    1. Pot is knackered and ya need a new one...they aren't expensive!
    2. The lead connecting the volume pot to the tone pot is broken and is maybe only barely connected so when ya pull back on the tone control, it loses the connection between the volume and tone! Take a look at the connection to see sure.

There is usually a resistor or capacitor(cant remember which) on the tone control. if there is something wrong with this(loose connection ?) the tone can start to act as a volume control.Or as kranog said maybe the tone is faulty.
