I went into Smyths today with the intention of buying an iPod Nano (first iPod as I've always used Creative before, but needed something thinner). First off I selected an iPod Video but was told they were out of stock of all the iPod Videos, fair enough. I went off to check the prices of the Nano's in other shops and came back as they offered the best deal (same price but with free gift).

I asked for a blue 4Gb but they only had pink or silver so settled on silver, asked for a mains adapter and just before he rang them though he told me that they were low on stock as they were running down as a new type of iPod was out soon, so I tell him that I will check out the new one before I decide to buy.

Went to the Apple site when I got home and they were selling the new 8Gb Nano for 199 which is 50 cheaper than the price of the old Nano
