    Effective stacks about 390.

Villain in this hand is a multi tabling regular. I don't have stats cause i can't mine or use poker tracker on the site i play.

My read on him is that hes pretty good and from what i have seen he is a winning player. One thing i have noticed is i think he likes to call 3 bets too much with marginal holdings but does play well post flop.

Villain raises to 6 from UTG+1 , Me on the Button with two black Aces repops it to 18 everyone folds and he calls. I have a hard time putting him on a range here as he likes to call 3 bets and he raises a wide range preflop.

    Action :

    Villain UTG+1 raises to 6
    Hero Button raises to 18

    Flop 6h 9h kd

    Villain Checks
    Hero 35
    Villain 100 (Total)

    My turn ?

    Thanks
    Opr

HAve you Ah? I mainly ask as if you do then AKs/AQs is out of his range, leaving him with more made hands and less draws

id be always worried about 66 or 99 in this spot...... without much of a read on villain, i might flat call and see what his action is on the turn - if he puts in another big bet id probobly fold, if he slows down and either checks or puts in a weakish bet, id probobly put a bet in....... im not convinced re-raising him on the flop is a wise move considering you have no stats on him.

Obviously your hoping he has something like kq or ak, he might be making that play with something like qj of hearts or nut flush draw as well...... Tough spot

    flat call the bet.
i would call a bet from him on the turn as well.
not sure what i do on the river if he bets though.

if he checks the turn then i would be fairly confident im ahead .

another option is that you can even 3 bet flop seen as there is enough draws there to warant it.
his range is just huge there on the flop and you are ahead of alot of it.

Pretty ugly so. I shove as I think if he calls 3 bets a lot his range will include a lot of draws. He's very unlikely to have 2 pair or KKK. I am serious value tho when people flop sets against me

Attempt at range below 23s represents random hands he's bluffing with

    Board: Kd 9h 6h
    Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
    Hand 0: 43.819% 43.82% 00.00% 9110 0.00 { 99, 66, AKs, AhQh, AhJh, QhJh, JhTh, 8h7h, 32s, AKo }
    Hand 1: 56.181% 56.18% 00.00% 11680 0.00 { AcAs }

Id raise more preflop this deep, especially if he has a tendancy to call with marginal holdings. I call the flop, I wouldn't 3 bet the flop, I really doubt he is check raising a 3bettor OOP this deep with a draw much at all.

Call shove over his turn bet if he's aggressive enough postflop.

Only problem here is i don't Ak is a huge part of his range. I think he 4 bets most of the time OOP and against me he will 4 bet most of the time as he knows i am capable of raising him light from the button. Look what happens if you take it out.

Its sounds results orientated but you should consider checking the flop. This deep against a tricky opponent you should only really bet if you have a good plan for what to do when raised. If he raises too much, go with the hand. You put an bad amount in preflop.

If the guy is good then he is calling the 12 with almost any 2 cards, especially if they dont contain an ace or a king. The problem is you have given away your holding to an excent, and he hasnt. So thats why i would consider checking the flop. He is very unlikely to think you have AA if the flop goes check check.

I wouldnt bet here unless I was happy getting it in

Interesting post HJ checking the flop wasn't something i had really considered in this spot.

Ok i shoved the flop and he called with 7h8h and he missed the lot.

The reason i posted this hand was when i ran it in an equity calculator later it looked like the wrong decision as it showed i was a big dog against his range. I mean i never expect to see a lone K as he doesn't c/r with that. I am gonna see loads of combo stuff that i am flipping against some lone Ahxh flush draws and sets which mean i am crushed.

    Just folding seemed so wrong.

Something which puzzled me lets say i do pin his range to me being a big dog on the flop but i know that my equity increases against his range on a blank turn. Is it +EV to make the call on the flop and get it in on a blank turn when my equity increases. Most people seem to think that doing this is best.

I like HJ's reasoning for checking sometimes. I disguise my range , keep the pot small with what is a weak holding if i am played back at on this board etc etc.

Would folding the flop be terrible ?
