anyone recommend a good budget hotel in London?

    heading over in mid Oct for fri-mon and I am going round the bend with price v location.
    under €300 for a couple and a 10 yo.
    Am I asking too much,do you think?
    Would like fairly central 2/3 star just something to use as a base for sightseeing.

    Have you tried sites like premiertravelinn.com and travelodge.co.uk? They might come on or under budget. PTI is a little more classy than Travelodge, but some of the newer Travelodges can be perfectly fine.

    We stayed in the Comfort Inn Victoria, about 5 min walk to Victoria Rail and Tube Stations - http://www.comfortinnvictoria.co.uk/ Rooms are decent and complementary tea/coffee available. Breakfast is reasonable price and quality.

    We also stayed in the Holiday Inn Camden again about a five minute walk to the Tube. A bit more upmarket but god value, breakfast was included in the price - http://www.holidayinncamden.co.uk/

    Sorry should have added the Holiday Inn has a bar and resturant so you might be able to go for a meal/drink while junior sleeps - they surely do a baby listening service.
