we are looking at the idea of running a one day RC Drift event at our indoor track in Fermoy Co Cork. The event will be open to all drivers running 1/10 scale electric cars, with no limit on motors. Control tyres will be nominated and all drivers will have to use these. The event will be run along the lines of a Pro-Drift event with drivers briefing, practice, qualifying for the top 16 and top 16 run off. The event will be judged by a Pro-Drift Judge and there will be Trophy’s for the winners.
This thread is to gauge the interest in this event, we already have eight drivers interested but we would like to see a lot more. If anyone is looking to buy a car for this event, the Tamiya TT01 makes an excellent drift car and can be bought second hand on Ebay for around €100. Please reply to this thread if interested, and we will provide more information i.e. date, phone number etc.

Sounds cool, ust got into this myself, Id be interested to see what its like before id enter tho :p

I actually just bought my first RC the other day of eBay that just happened to be an TT-01 with an RX-7 body. Still waiting on a few parts to come. mad an attempt at a paint job but It didn't seem the best i'll know for defo when its light out as it was late when i was finishing.

Just wondering if ya could point me in the direction of some good info on electric cars and if there is anywhere around waterford that people get together?

Hi bud and welcome to the world of RC models.
If you are gonna come along be sure to bring your car with you. Remember. None of us are proffesionals.:o
What sort of info are you actually looking for?

Have you tried the model Shop in Waterford for paints etc?

There are a few lads in Wexford and up around that part of the country. alright I think.

Maybe have a look in on their website. >> IrishDrifting <<
